I have been using the Explorer for last three years and everything worked fine. However, until five months ago, I could not defend my computer from all sorts of viruses. I also had to reinstall my Windows XP several times but it did not help me on a longer period. After a few days on the Internet, I had the same problems. I am thinking about installing a Windows Vista. Is Vista also prone to malware?

In the last time other Internet browsers are more popular then Internet explorer. Many people claim that they are faster and safer then Explorer itself. I personally do not agree with them because I also use Internet at least 10 hours per day and I am using Internet Explorer without any problems. I have installed SpyBot as an anti-spyware software. I also use AVG free as an anti-virus software and have installed Zone alarm firewall on my computer. They worked just fine together. If you have Microsoft Windows XP, you also should install SP 2. About Windows Vista you should wait a little longer to see is it really prone to malwares or not because it is very short period on the market.
