Hi, I have recently built my brand new pc, few hiccups, but very happy:
x1950 PRO 512GDDR
2GB
Athlon X2 4400+
Soundblaster Xi-fi
Asrock mobo
320GB Seagate HDD
Im trying to connect my lil bro's pc, but he has Win XP running. I discovered over my mates that there is a glitch with Vista, that when I connected to his router it took an hour to pick up the lan and cable, so you can simply put the computer to sleep and back on straight away, avoiding the hour wait!
Anyway, Im now getting the "limited or no connection", but im using a usb dsl modem on my Vista pc, and its not picking up the lan or internet ("limited or no connection" again). Tried putting my pc to sleep and back, put the XP pc to standby and back, but no luck!
Any ideas? Cheers, Benji... |

sorry about this being long winded n all, just to explain, the Vista pc has the modem connected to it and connects to the internet fine...
its the XP pc that has the "limited or no connection", so cannot use the lan or connect to the internet through the Vista pc |
