I have recently seen new Windows Vista appeared and I would like to purchase it. However, I am not sure whether I have a computer good enough for it. I heard somewhere that there is Vista Upgrade Advisor that should help me with such information. If anyone knows where can I find it, that would be great.

New Windows Vista requires significantly stronger hardware than XP. Actually, there are relatively old machines that can simply run it, but comfortable work will take up a lot of resources, especially when it comes to RAM memory. Precisely because of that, Vista Upgrade Advisor will detect your configuration and tell you if it can run Vista, or if it cant and why. You can find it at http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/
windowsvista/buyorupgrade/upgradeadvisor.mspx. I am sure you will find it very helpful. Best of luck.
