I think I have a video codec conflict, but I don’t know how to solve it. First I installed Divx 3.11 (about 2 years ago), then Divx 4.0 and finally divx 5.0. Then I downloaded and installed xvid codec, and angelpotion and antifreeze – as told by my friend. In the meantime I removed some of them because about 30% movies had a bad sound/video synchro. Then I installed X-codec pack to replace all codecs… Still I had problems. What to do???

It looks like a pretty messy codec collection. I bet your registry looks awful. However, there’s still some chance you can solve the problem. Go to Safe Mode and remove ALL the installed codecs, even go to “Multimedia” in control panel and remove them from there, too. Now reboot to normal, download the newest K-Lite Codec Pack, and install it. After this I think you should have no more problems.
