Something strange has happened with my computer I really can notice that just because there is very huge performance difference. It takes around 2 minutes for explorer to start after I click on my computer. All other folders are opening very, very slow. And this was not the situation just 2 days a go. I have few more house users, and I can bet it is not my fault. Anyway, I can restore my image back, and I will do that definitely, but I am curious about possible causes for this. Thanks in advance.

The possible cause could be Norton Antivirus if you have it installed. Also there might be a problem with your processor’s L2 cache. If you have other home users as you said, there might be a chance that someone was inside the BIOS and has turned off the L2 cache. You can check is your Hard drive working in the PIO transfer mode instead of ultra DMA, which is possible too. You can check that from the device manager.
