Hi, I'm having some serious connection speed issues, and I don't know what could be causing them. Until the other day everything went fine, but now all my downloads are painfully slow (DC++, P2P, whatever), and I think I can even notice a decrease in mail delivery speed. The ISP is Comcast, and I'm in the NYC area (in case that's important). Any idea what's going on?

Check your system for spyware, if you haven't already. Try Spy Bot or Ad-Aware first, they're efficient and easy to handle. In most cases like this, it's a spyware infestation that decreases connection speed and eventually general system performance. Are you using a firewall? If not, get one. If yes, make sure it's up to date.
