Hello/ I'm thinking of getting Verizon FIOS for both Internet and TV, but I'm sort of confused with the charging and the packages they offer. I mean there's SD, HD, and DVD, regarding quality, that much I get. But then they also offer Basic Services, Expanded Basic Services, and something like Basic in Non-English. The charges vary very little between the first three, but more between the other three. Could someone who already has FIOS explain the differences to me, in layman's terms? Thanks.

Here's how I understand it: The expanded basic package gets you the same things that "basic basic" does, plus most of the extra channels and OD video. The difference between the two is something like 25 bucks a month, which isn't insignificant considering the overall price. The bilingual package is essentially the same as basic. Some of these packages require HD, and some don't. That's about it, AFAICT.
