I got a brand new Dell notebook at my workplace last month. They also bought me a Verizon DSL modem and installed me a DSL connection. A friend installed me a Torrent software. He told me that it is great for downloading movies from the net in spare time. It worked great until yesterday. Now, whenever I start my computer reboots. A friend told me that I might have a Trojan virus that cause reboots. I cannot ask my collegue administrator for understandable reasons.

From your symptoms, I am certain that you have some kind of virus on your computer. Precisely, I think that is a virus from category of Downloader or Trojan. Its job is to gain access to the content of your hard drive to his owner. That is the common problem for all Torrent users. I had to reinstall my computer few times because of torrent using and virus problems. However, at last I found out a cure for that. That cure is combination of AVG and Seagate personal firewall. First, use AVG from your Safe mode to clean your computer. After that, install Seagate and I think that will solve your problem.
