I have a VIA Rhine II Fast Ethernet adapter connected to my cable modem through a TrendNet TEW-432BRP wireless router. I have found when the CPU powers down into sleep mode that I lose connectivity. It can only be restored by powering down the system AND by then disconnecting the power cord. When I then boot up connectivity is there. It seems when the system goes to sleep it changes the state of the adapter.
Further to my earlier post: By powering down and disconnecting the power cable I mean the CPU power cable, not the power cable to the router or the modem. Powering those two devices off/on has no effect. Also, the ethernet adapter is an integrated one, not a plug-in card.
