Hey there! I’ve got a Vaio laptop with built in 802.11b ethernet controller but it’s not working almost at all. I thought that it was just my machine that’s faulty but it turned out that it’s general problem. I’ve heard that newer models have much better connection? Is it true? Which model should I buy so that my connection starts being normal?
Well, they were working on this and I’ve heard that this 802.11n version is much better than the previous one. The biggest improvement is that there are no antennas anymore. They use some extra low frequencies and “subsonic transducers that are directly coupled to any nearby surface”…whatever that is, sounds impressive. However, I’m not sure that this is already implemented into their laptops.
