I currently use an ATI Radeon, but I want to upgrade it. Is there a way to do this on my own? How to open my lap tops case? There are a very few screws in it. And I certainly have to use very small screwdriver. Then, what about my warranty, if I open my case, it will be invalid? What do you think, should I open it, or what? I was thinking of buying a desktop graphic card and then install it on my Compaq Presario? Because its cheaper, you know. Is there a converter or something like that?

| Dont even think about it. You will break it, or should I say, you have a 66 chance to break it. People think that its same as on the desktop, but it isnt. You see, size of the laptop is 10 times smaller then desktop case. So things are very complicated inside. Dont use any screwdriver, you will damage it. Take your precious Compaq Presario to your vendor, and they will do it for you. And about a second question, its impossible. Laptops, and their components are spending very low amount of energy. So, if you install nVidia, it will burn. There is not enough energy to run these devices on laptop. Power supply is entirely different on laptop, its very weak comparing to desktop power supplies. But, I think there is an external video card for Compaq, although its not cheap as nVidia. |
