I have an ancient Toshiba Satellite 2535CDS with Windows 98SE installed on it. I was thinking about upgrading operating system to XP Professional but I am not sure if this laptop can handle it. I would really appreciate if you can give me your opinion about this. Thank you in advance.

Well, this laptop is ancient and has 300 MHz processor and only 32 MB RAM installed which can be upgraded to maximum 160 MB. Looking at this numbers I would not advise you to upgrade to XP Professional. You could run it but it would be very slow and troublesome. I think that you should stick with Windows 98SE or upgrade to Windows 2000 if you have to upgrade.
