| I have a question about the procedure after upgrading motherboard and CPU. Namely, my HDD is completely full. I even have movies and music on the system partition. Now I’m wondering whether replacing those two components means that I have to reformat my HDD. If that’s so, I’ll first have to do the backup which will take ages. It’ll be great if I didn’t have to perform that. |

| Don’t take my words for granted but I really think that you should reformat your HDD. After you install those two components you need also to install new drivers as well. You should do a backup of all your data and finally clear out the mess from your storage devices. I don’t know why you haven’t already done that, because keeping data on your HDD is completely unreliable, because what if something goes wrong and your HDD is out of order? You could lose all your data and what then? Besides too much data on your HDD especially on your system partition significantly slows your PC. So, no matter whether formatting of your HDD is necessary, you so the backup. |
