I tried upgrading MAC OS 9 to 9.1 but it simply won’t work. When I run 9.1 Upgrade, somewhere in the middle of the installation process it tells me that it cannot find the file or folder MAC OS 9.1 and something about Installation Tome not being valid or something like that. I tried turning off Extensions, Sharing and started with the Shift Key pressed but it didn’t make it work. Does anybody know what’s wrong with my computer?

Hi! I’ve been working with Macs for quite some time and have encountered the same upgrading problem on several occasions. The thing that helped me and will probably help you is a clean install. I’ve done it on my Mac and on several others and it was the only way I could get the upgrade done. Inform me if it didn’t work on your computer. Maybe I could think of some other solution but I’m pretty sure this will make it OK.
