He he I think today every person that is having some kind of 24 hour Internet connection by default is becoming a âdownload addictâ. LimeWire is one of the popular ones among the âP2P network connection programsâ even though somehow I never used it, probably âcause of purchasing method. Uninstalling the LimeWire is pretty easy and usual drill like for uninstalling of any other program. Go to Start, then click Control Panel , double click on Add or Remove icon, on offered list of currently installed programs find LImewire, mark it with one click and then click the depending on the Windows system that you are using Add/Remove(Windows 95 or 9 or Change/Remove (2000 or XP). That will start uninstalling process. If you donât have LimeWire on your list no worries. Then go to Start /Search and chose option File and Folders(all files and folders in XP version). Dialogue box will appear in which you are typing the name of the file you are looking for in this case Limewire and tell program to look in âLocal Hard Drivesâ .for the file. Wait for some short time and the list will appear. Right click on files or directory that were found and select delete option. Limewire could also automatically install LimeShop which monitors what you have been purchasing and controlling the commission matter. Uninstalling LimeWire doesnât mean you are getting rid of this one at the same time . So do the usual uninstalling thing ( Start/Control Panel/ Add or Remove/ find LimeShop Add/Remove click ok. Then delete folders that stayed on PC - My computer/ hard drive icon usually is marked with c:,/Program files/ LimeShop select that one and delete). Very possible that Limewire installed BonzyBuddy or some other advertising and monitoring program, well to kick it out of your computer just repeat the drill. Hope your PC will get unchained from Limewire with this tip! |
