| Hello, can someone please help me out with this? I am totally new to Vista, and just now I've been told that my copy has a feature called "Password Protected File Sharing" turned on, either by default or by design. I don't know what to do ti disable it, and I need it off. Anyone, please? |

Well, you will need the password to disable it. Assuming you have the password, go to Start / Network / Properties / Network and Sharing, and finally to Sharing and Discovery. Here you can turn off (or on) both file sharing and password-protected sharing. I expect it will prompt you for the password at this point, though IMBW.
