Can you tell me how to format floppies? Whenever I try to record something on a floppy disk I can’t because the device cannot recognize that empty floppy. I guess that formatting is necessary in that case. I just don’t know how to do that. Is there an easy way to do that? I wouldn’t like to call anyone for help, because I hope I can do it on my own.

I must tell you my opinion. Why on earth are you still using floppies? I mean, in the age of memory sticks and flash memories that are easily connected to your PC via USB port, there is no use to rely on floppies which are the technology of the past. I never liked using it. A couple of times the floppy just wouldn’t read the disk I recorded on some other PC. I think that maybe there is something wrong with your device and that’s why it can’t see the disk inside. But if you insist on using floppies, then buy a new floppy. They’re very affordable. My opinion is still that you should use new, less complicated technologies.
