| Hello. I have Umax Astra 2200 USB scanner connected with the Windows XP. I have installed all the drivers that came together, and it seems that everything is working fine after the installation. The images are indeed satisfying but there is no option to scan the paper in negative. In fact there is, but the scanner won’t do that. I really think that negative image is nothing that much demanding for any kind of scanner, right? How to handle with this? Thanks in advance. |

| Hello. It seems that you are using XP SP2 with all latest updates and that your scanner is connected with the universal transparency cable. Well, all you need to do is to remove the UMAX drivers form your system, detach transparency cable and plug the scanner with the regular USB only. Once you have do that, wait for the new hardware found to finish everything, because Microsoft has full support embed for this model. Later on just configure your WIA or Windows Image Acquisition, and obtain the latest updated software from the Umax website. |
