HI! What you think about the serial ATA vs IDE cables? I don't have a newfangled case so I don't really attend about wire size... more interested in the speed. I've been told that as I set them up on RAID it would be a depletion of money, just looking for personal proficiency.

HI! Negative, if any, discrepancy in speed. SATA drives are presently running at ATA150, while fairly a several IDE drives will run at up to ATA133. If your motherboard reliance it. But they commonly run at ATA100. I run RAID 1 on one machine with SATA drives, and on another with PATA drives. No distinction that I can see.
