Few days ago I have installed Ubuntu linux distribution. I have a very strange problem. I can not get sound. I am 100 sure that I Ubuntu recognized my sound card. To be honest, I saw that it recognized sound card (Ubuntu checked it) and I have done nothing more. Please, tell me how to fix this.

It is not enough to Ubuntu see your sound card. You have to install drivers for it. You can find its drivers in the internet. It would be the best if you go to the official site of your sound cards manufacturer. There you should be able to find drivers which are compatibile with Ubuntu linux distro. Download it and install it. After that you will have sound.
