| I have an original CD of Ubuntu 6.06, a friend gave it to me. However, Ive read that it is highly important to upgrade to 6.10 version, rather than keep the old one. The problem is that I want to install it on a separate desktop with no network connection, so wont be able to update. Is that going to be a problem? |

| The latest version of Ubuntu is 7.04, so Id go for that version instead. Also, any modern operating system will suffer without internet connection. If you wont be able to do software update, you may have more problems with security of your system. So Id highly advise you to at least buy some old NIC and connect it to your DSL or Cable modem/router. |
