USB malfunction

I have a very annoying problem with my USB and I think it is malfunction. I am using card reader connected via USB for communication with my online banking system. Everything works fine when I log in online banking immediately upon computer start up. But if I wait for some time ( not know exactly how long) I am unable to log anymore and I get some errors about system not able to read from security card. Any suggestions?

Hello. It is possible that you have some issues with USB but I am not sure that it is malfunction. Have you tried to connect card reader to another USB port? Try that and see how it will behave. Also, USB is set on some computers to go to standby or power off mode if it is not used to save power. Change this setting in Device Manager and your problem will probably be gone.
