USB external DVD Writer Problems

Hello! I have USB external DVD writer and I have a problem with it. Namely, when I attach it to my USB port it won’t work. I have tried this DVD writer at my friend’s computer and I can tell you that there it works just fine. Now, I am pretty much confused. Have you any idea? Thanks!

Hello! Well, to be honest with you, it seems to me that your USB port is not working one. I suggest you to try to attach some other USB device to that USB port and see if it will work. If it will not, then you will need to change USB port. That is only explanation I have regarding this problem.
