| Ive just bought a Mustek rd 12 pen USB with 512 MB ram. In the manual they say its supported by Windows XP, Mac and even Linux, which is great. The best thing is that you can actually load your operating system into. You, know, like you can boot directly. The problem is each time I try to copy something it cant be opened on the drive. This is strange, because those are all popular file types, like mp3 and JPG. When I select open with option, it still wont work? |

| And what OS are you using my friend? I bet it is a Linux, am I right. You see, in Linux and Mac OS you must install appropriate divers firstly. It wont work without them. I know that your manufacturer said that it will work everywhere. But that doesnt mean it will work without drivers. Linux is still problematic with different hardware devices. We are still waiting for a better solution, till then, I am afraid you must search for appropriate drivers. Different OSs have different hardware settings, so your USB obviously dont have installed drivers. Read your manual carefully and see if there is an OS issue. Those files that cant be read are actually copied, but file system structure is not adjusted. Have you used it on a different computer? |
