Greetings. I am still using Microsoft Windows XP Professional with integrated service pack 1. And I am nervous about some certain things regarding my USB 2.0 ports. Some compliant devices are just not detected, while the other faster ones (that doesn’t make sense to me, no logic there at all) are working just correctly. Or I have just misunderstood something somewhere? Anyway, thanks in advance.

I can say that the problem is in your USB 2.0 drivers, because Windows XP with service pack 1 doesn’t own that much support for these. You have them on your motherboard. Just put the motherboard CD (don’t wait for your service guy to come) in your CD or DVD rom drive and you will be presented with the mobo CD autorun, which is very nicely designed and readable. Find the section with the drivers and then select the USB drivers for install.
