Is there some way of turning off that annoying “click for ActiveX” pop up that comes up whenever I visit a page that enables ActiveX in IE6? I mean, I know it’s hazardous coding and all that, but if it’s considered safe enough (“trusted”), why does it always have to ask me if I REALLY want it? If I didn’t want it, I’d have ActiveX disabled alltogether, wouldn’t I?

Well, you could, and some would argue that you should. The “signed” ActiveX controls aren’t really all that safe and reliable as one might think. Put simply, they’re open to editing and becoming something malicious, after which they would retain their “signed” quality. But if you really want to enable trusted ActiveX controllers to run without the prompt, automatically, you can do that here: Tools - Internet Options - Security - Trusted Sites.
