| Hi there. I am a guitarist and I bought the computer just because of the music recording. I need microphone signal input for my guitar. I have also bought Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 4 sound card. But, when I connect my peripherals to the microphone, the sound is so damn loud, filthy and scratchy! I tried with the line in port, and there is total difference. There is no distortion at all. The sound is clean but I can hear only left channel, but I need stereo. What is this anyway? Is this something because of Sound Card? Should I replace this card for another? Please, I need help, I am so desperate and disappointed. Thanks in advance. |

| Hello. NO, you don’t need to replace the sound card at all. It seems to me that everything is fine, and it also seems to me that you will just need to “kill” the microphone gain level or, disable it for sure. Go to the control panel and choose sounds and audio devices. Than choose Advanced. Under the microphone slider, you will find advanced again, go there and uncheck the only option there is. |
