Hello there people. I am having troubles with loading the Bootable Xp CD. I am trying to install new, fresh and clean Windows XP over infected C: partition with god knows how many viruses on it. The problem is that I cannot boot from the CD, because there is a password set for the BIOS, and the mobo is configured to boot only from the Hard Drive. How to avoid password check and change some settings in the BIOS? Thanks in advance.

There is one very old method to do this. You’ll need to open the computer case, and pull the battery of its place. After some 15 minutes of waiting, reset the BIOS too just for any case. Then put the battery back in. This will force the motherboard to forget about all previous settings including the password. You should then normally get inside the BIOS and set everything you want.
