Hi there. I have trouble with editing mp3 files. I have downloaded a long rhapsody from Internet and when I try to edit it my program for editing tries to convert it to VAW first which results in very large file (over 3 GB). It reports then that there is no sufficient space and just closes the program. Is there any way to edit mp3 file without converting it first to VAW?

Hello. There is no way to edit mp3 file unless you convert it to VAW first. MP3 is block-encoded format and you have to decode it first to be able to edit it. Regarding your problem with editing mp3 files I can only recommend you to try some other program like Audacity or Audio MP3 Editor. Also, check how much RAM and free space on hard drive you have. These can pose some limitations while working with such large files.
