Hi there. I bought a brand new PC today and I will probably have it delivered tomorrow. So I have to finish backing up my data, so I do not loose anything. I won’t throw away the old one, just reinstall it and give it to my kid. But, what I want to know is if I could somehow transfer my old emails from old computer to the new one? And how 

Hi there. I can just imagine that new PC in a month –HDD full with the newest games which your kid can now play, and the other one being completely out of use  that is what happens most often. As for transferring emails from the old PC to the new one, it is a very simple process. When you start Outlook express, under tools and options find
Maintenance and than click the Store Folder button. You will see in which directory your mail files are stored in. When you look in this directory you will find files which are named same as your mail folders and news groups. Outlook express keeps all messages in database files, and that is why all these folders have a .DBX suffix. You should back up these files and then, when you have new system installed you just copy them into the same directory.
