I flashed the BIOS on my Toshiba Satellite 1110 using the BIOS update I downloaded off the Toshiba site. But although it seemed to work in the beginning after the system power-cycled. When I press the power light comes on for 4-5 seconds and then goes out. I am now looking for a key sequence whereby I can force an upgrade but even though I spent hours searching the net I couldn’t find it. Could anyone help me with this? The BIOS is a Phoenix BIOS 4.0 Release 6 I think it has BKT20 BIOS Version v.1.10 code in it.

Unfortunately you’ll probably have to contact Toshiba. I had a problem similar to yours and in the end I had to swap the motherboard for a new one…and it cost me fantastic 400$! Toshiba Satellite BIOS is not socketed but soldered surface mounted, and once it’s been flashed wrongly you have no choice but to buy a new one. Good luck!
