I was checking out laptop prices the other day, and found this Time Computers company that sells them quite cheap. Prices are about half of what the major players (Dell, Compaq, etc. ) are asking for. That got me interested, but also kind of suspicious. BTW, they're using AMD processors, and I'm not familiar with them (never had a non-Intel CPU, embarrassing, huh?) so I don't know whether to go for this or not. Any advice?

Didn't Time go bust like over a year ago? Oh, never mind, I just checked on google, it appears they are back in business. Well in any case, I would advise against it. I know quite a few people who have been burned by Time (or Tiny, or whatever incarnation of the same firm they dealt with), and I personally wouldn't touch their laptop with a 10-ft. pole.
