Hello. I found a few sites that were ofering me some kind of Browser Test. This was pretty strange. I didn’t run any of this tests but am curious how does this function. Why are they doing it online. I mean isn’t it a way that you can download test and do it for yourself? This looks some kind of unsafe job to me in this way. Is there anyone who was brave enough to try this?

I tryed. But not intentionally. Better to say I didn’t try, they made me do it. One such site did this test as I connected to it. Simply they don’t ask you, as you open page, you have all the details of your browser and even more, some about your system. You can see listed things like type and version of browser you currently use, security issues in detail, display settings and leyout, plugins installed, scripting capabilities etc. I didn’t see any of personal information , computer name or anything like that, there is IP address, proxy settings, and I don’t think that I have idea about how much informations they can colllect this way. One usefull thing was that I found that JavaScript was enabled on my browser which I wasn’t a
ware of.
