Temporary Files importance?

Hello. I have noticed that I am running out of disc space recently. After some searching around hard drive I found that temporary files are using a lot of space. I would like to delete them to free up some space but I do not know if should do that. What is the importance of temporary internet files?

Temporary internet files are not important. They can help only for quicker web site loading but that is not important any more considering broadband connections. On the other side, temporary internet files are a heaven for various viruses, spyware and other malicious software and I think you should clean them more frequently. Use some program like CCleaner for this job because it will find many more files that are safe to delete from your system.
