Hello to everyone. I hope someone will be able to help me with this problem. I would like to take a picture from DivX video file. I have tried with different programs like Paint, IrfanView and Picassa but all I got is black picture instead of picture from the movie. I am sure that I am making a mistake somewhere but I am not sure where exactly. Thank you in advance.

Hello. There are several ways to take a picture (or screenshot as it is usually called) from DivX video file. You can do it manually by disabling hardware acceleration for graphics card, pressing Print Screen button on keyboard and than pasting picture in some picture editor (Paint, IrfanView). Do not forget to enable hardware acceleration after this. There is easier way, because some media players like WMP classic or VLC player have built in functions for taking a screenshot from the movie.
