I bought a new computer for my kids yesterday. I didn't bought a monitor because they already have a big screen TV in their room and I want to use it as a monitor. A friend told me that I just have to buy a special cable, which is connecting my computer and TV over the VGA's TV-out. However, I have a TV-out problem. I don't have any picture on the TV screen so I don't know what is going on. What am I doing wrong?

The most common problem that can cause a problem like yours is that you get a wrong type of cable. Carefully check does all the pins on your cable suits the wholes on your TV-out. If that is OK, try to check your cable on some other PC and TV and find will he work there. If that won't help then try to find on your TV is it have some more connection ports.
