I am planning to back up my complete Harddisk to another harddisk. First one is 80GB (about 70% full), another is 120 GB. I want to perform this without any loss, so my friend told me I should use Symantec Ghost. Is this program reliable, I have lots of hidden files on my hdd etc. Also, I have both FAT and NTFS drives on it. Is it safe to do this with ghost?

Symantec ghost will do everything you want, and most likely there won’t be any problems, if both your hdds are healthy. This “ghost” utility will make exact image (copy) of your “original” hdd to the other one. File system, directory structure, hidden files, all is to be copied as it was on the original disk. Of course, you should check if the image created is Ok, before deleting the content of the original hdd.
