I will be moving to another town soon and I know I will be able to use cable internet there. Currently, I am on dial up connection and I would be very happy if someone could tell me the difference. I know that cable is much more expensive then dial up but it is also way faster. Is there anything else to be mentioned here?

Hello. Switching from dial-up to cable modem is great improvement. Dial-up is limited to 56k while cable speeds can go up to 5Mb. The main difference is speed, but it is all that is important for internet. Another difference is that your phone line is free while you are connected and you are always connected. There is no boring dialing procedure. Just open browser and you are on internet.
