I have 4 pc's on a Xp Home SP2 TCP/IP network 3 pc's connected from a 10/100 switch and the other connected to the router. the router connects to the switch via a crossover.
Anyway Im having the strangest problem ( since installing SP2 I think ?) Trying to access a share on the network from any pc can sometimes lockup the window and then the whole pc.
Opening the process manager indicates that explorer is using stupid amounts of ram extra 10 megs a second and the lights on the network switch are going apeshit.
Dissconnecting the lan cables frees the pc up after sometime.
the pc with the share that was being accessed shows that its sending data non stop to the problem pc.
This bit is really weird, once I reconnect the cable the data stops but if I resize a window the pc stars sending data to the last pc it talked to and light on the switch reflects my movemets made be the mouse resizing the window, allmost like 1 pc updates its actions to the other. ( all remote desktop features dissabled )
This can happen with any pc on my network accessing any other.
I have tried new nic's and a diff combo of lan cables, took away the switch and connected to the router, took away the router and just used the switch, still to no affect, also reinstalled xp.
Any help on this matter would be great
