I've been using the internet for last three years and I never had any problems. However, since few months ago, I could not defend from viruses. I even reinstalled OS twice but it did not help me for any longer. After a day or two on the Internet I have the same problems. Are there any other browsers than IE? Should I maybe install Norton Internet Security?

Of course, there are many other browsers beside the IE like Netscape, Mozila Firefox and Opera. Many users think that they are even better and safer then the Explorer itself. I personally do not think that your problems are related to using Explorer. I am also spending much time on the Internet with IE 7, and I don't have any problems. You just need some reliable anti-spyware software like SpyBot S & D, which is efficient and free. You also need some good anti-virus software. I personally use AVG and I am completely satisfied. If you have Windows XP, you will also need Service Pack 2 to be installed. All those things will not slow your machine much and will give you enough protection. I think that combination will be much more efficient than Norton Internet Security.
