Strange Memory issue

I have a very strange problem. I have 512 MB RAM. But, some time ago I have started to getting message that I have only 256 MB RAM. This can not be possible. Also, my computer became slower then it was. I do not know what happened. I assume that is some virus ruin my computer. Have you any solution for me?

I do not think so. I am sure that one of your memory modules is died. To be sure which one is broken, first take out one (be very careful when you do this), and if your computer doesnt work, take it in and take out other one. After that buy new memory module and take it in. After that try your computer. You will see that everything will be ok.
