Hello there people. I just don’t know how it is possible that my desktop icons are always re-arranged on their own, every time I reboot? Yes, every time I arrange them on my own, the desktop icons are back to the position they were until my interaction again. I can tell that I have no other weird automated activities, except this one, and it is going on my nerves. How to stop this? Thanks in advance.

Did you saw is Auto Arrange option checked? Anyway, this applies right away, not after the reboot. It is really weird by the way, I must say. It seems more like that the Policy for User saving option is disabled on your machine. Anyway, you can try to edit one certain string from the registry editor and to download the VBS script called xp_save_settings.vbs. Open regedit, type that in your run dialog box and go to the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Policies\Explorer set the value to 0. Then run the script.
