I got a new Dell computer last month as a present from my parents. They also installed me DSL Internet connection. Then a good friend installed me Torrent software for movie downloading. At the beginning, everything was OK. Since yesterday, my Internet connection is slow. SpySweeper reports me DSO Exploit problem and it cannot remove it. Is that a virus?

I think that you are infected. It is probably the infection with some sort of Downloader or Trojan virus. Its job is to aloud access to hard drive content on your computer to his owner. SpySweeper is rather inefficient with those types of viruses. I had to reinstall my Windows twice because of torrent using and virus problems. That was at the beginning. However, from my personal experience I found out what to use for protection. The protection that I have been using for last six months is combination of SpyBot Search & Destroy and Seagate Personal firewall and I do not have any problems. You should use that combination if you want to minimize trouble. Use SpyBot from the Safe mode to clean all viruses from your computer and then, install Seagate Personal firewall.
