Hey, people. I have very strange problems regarding my windows XP. I have a monster inside my computer case, wasnt very cheap when I gave money for the crap. Now, or one week earlier, the slow motion procedure has started when I am shutting down and starting up the PC. It takes pretty much more time to have these two procedures completed, than it was before. What should I do to speed this thing up? Thanks.

Here are the steps. Using regedit, go to HKLM\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control and change the value to 1, for WaitToKillService Timeout. Than navigate to HKLM\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management\Prefetch Parameters and set Enable Prefetch DWORD to 0. Exit registry and navigate to C:\Windows\Prefetch and delete all files inside that folder. Also, you can clear the TEMP and temporal Internet files folder. Reboot and you will see the difference. You can also disable the start up and shutdown sounds that will somehow improve speed.
