I’ve been using FireFox for some time and it’s OK but I’ve heard that it can be made to work much faster with just some minor changes to some settings. The problem is that I don’t know how this is done. Does anyone here know about it? And, by the way, is it safe? Does it perhaps influence the quality of the pages you’re viewing in some way?
It’s true –you can make your FireFox work even better. Still, it may cause some pages not to be viewed properly. Anyway, if you want to speed-up your FireFox browser you should enable of the HTTP pipelining since it is not enabled by default. It is done like this: you should open the FireFox window and type “about:config” in the address bar.
You’ll find a “ShowSingleWindowModePrefs” so double click on it. Then
find “network.http.pipelining” and double click it too. You also need to find “network.http.pipelining.maxrequests” and change it from 4 to 100. and your FireFox will be much faster.
