I’m very confused. I’ve found this great site that contains information on the things I need for my term paper and whenever I try to open it and access some information, a pop-up window with some special virus notices appears and I don’t dare to enter the site. Can you explain me why this happens? I mean, it’s not a site containing any inappropriate content and it’s supposed to be reliable.

I don’t know what to suggest you because sometimes the site owners don’t want to have the responsibility if some other people are allowed to put some content on the site and in order to inform you about that and that they don’t have the control over all the content on the site, they have those special virus notices. This doesn’t necessarily means that the site contains any viruses and that it’s not reliable, but just to bear in mind that you’re not completely safe. Maybe it’s a good idea to switch the security level on your anti-virus program to the highest level before you open the site. Anyway, be careful what you download and check it before watching it.
