I need some help with my MoBo driver update. My MoBo could not properly see my new HDD so I downloaded the latest updated driver from the Internet. However, when I try to install downloaded file I get an error message and my computer restarts as if I press Ctrl-Alt-Delete. To be even worse, now my Sound is disabled. Should I now repeat my Sound card installation?

I do not think that your Sound card is damaged. You can try to reinstall sound card because it cannot do any damage. However, I think other reasons are causing your problems. The most possible would be an error in the process of downloading. That way your downloaded file might be damaged. To check that, you should try to download it once more and than try to reinstall it. You may also have a wrong version of drivers for your operating system. In that case, you have to find and download the proper version for your operating system. Last reason for your problem could be that your driver update may need some service pack or add-ons to be previously installed. If that is the problem, download and install them first.
