Hello! I have bought Altec Lansing 5.1 speakers. I have attached them to my sound card, but I have not sound. I have checked volume control and there everything is just fine. Can you tell me what is wrong here? Cannot be that my speakers are broken; I mean they still have warranty, I just bought them…

Hello! Well, it would be very odd if they are broken and I really doubt in that. Are you sure that your sound card supports 5.1? I think that it does not. Your sound card probably produce 2.1, and (in that case) it is normal because your 5.1 speakers does not work. Check this and if I am right – buy new sound card; if I am not right, please contact me and I will try to find other solution.
