I have a strange case to report: The Sony combo drive mentioned above is performing badly when burning to RW CDs, and not only that, instead of burning over the existing content, it seems to restore that content and completely lose what I had it burn! Of course, I tried deleting the CD first, and it says it's done and the CD is empty, and after its burned it looks OK, but when I take it to another machine, the "deleted" cojntent shows up instead of what I had just burned! Anyone seen that happen?
I'm using Nero, BTW, but the same thing happens with direct burning from XP. |

| Yeah, I had the exact same thing happen with my Lite-On drive, but that happened only a couple of times just before it died on me, so I didn't really find a solution… I expect there isn't any, the drive's probably on the verge of death and you might want to get a new one. |
