Someone's spoofing my email address

I started getting some strange â€˜delivery failureâ€™ e-mails a few days ago. The strange thing about them is that they were being sent to some address that Iâ€™ve never even seen and certainly havenâ€™t sent e-mails to. Itâ€™s getting pretty annoying since the number of these e-mails is increasing every day. What should I do and why did this happen? The e-mail address Iâ€™m using is new and only a few of my closest friends have it so Iâ€™m pretty sure that this isnâ€™t their doing.

Your friends havenâ€™t done anything wrong, at least not on purpose. But its likely that one of the friends who have your e-mail has got Netsky virus and thatâ€™s why youâ€™re getting these e-mails. Your address was just randomly chosen by the virus to serve itâ€™s purposes by filling in the â€˜fromâ€™ line. I think that you should probably warn your friends that one of them has caught the virus. As for you, Iâ€™m not sure if thereâ€™s anything you can do to fix your problem. You can only make it easier if you set your e-mail client to automatically move such mails to â€˜spamâ€™ folder.
